  • Basic database concepts (in Excel!)
  • Create and modify a data list
  • Lists/Tables: Manage tables easily using Lists (2003) or Tables (2007 & 2010) in Excel

Sorting and filtering data

  • Sorting data based text, value or date
  • Custom sort: Sort your data on multiple levels, custom lists or colour (2007 & 2010)
  • Filtering data with the Autofilter or the Advanced Filter (or based on the colours in Excel 2007 & 2010)
  • Autofilter: Filter your data on text, value, date or colour (2007 & 2010)
  • Advanced Filter: Filter your data with complex criteria

Data Validation

  • Validating data
  • Remove duplicates (2007 & 2010)

Analyse your data with Microsoft Excel

  • Calculate subtotals
  • PivotTables : Analyse your data using PivotTables, inclusing slicers (2010)
  • PivotCharts : Present your data using PivotCharts
  • Database functions: Analyse your data using conditional database functions (DSUM, DCOUNT, DAVERAGE..)
  • Sparklines (2010): Improve the presentation of your data with small charts

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of MS Excel 2007 or 2010
